TRANSITIONING BACK TO FULL-TIME VIRTUAL DELIVERY METHODS

Greetings and Blessings to our Cardinals— Students and parents of CCSS,

Once again, our school, and all schools, are closed for onsite teaching and learning. These are VERY challenging times and our school has been an unfortunate target of a vicious virus which has threatened onsite school life. So, unfortunately, we are now back to OFFSITE! Starting on 28th October to 9th November, 2020, WE START formal distant SCHOOLING. Wednesday 28th October is DAY 1, with a Religious RK Schedule during Home Room. Monday’s and Thursdays’ will be Assembly/Extended Homeroom. It is important to stick to our NORMAL school schedule. We are NOT to follow the current schedule as there are NO onsite days again and NO Day 7. So please keep engaged! Please, reach out to each other—communicate with your teachers and with your school’s administration.

Thank God for the strides we made during last year’s Term Three, when we were faced with this very same predicament. Our various off-site platforms will assist in bridging the gaps that being off school creates. Form One students are fully oriented and should be interacting on our official learn-ing platform. Happy MOODLING everyone.

We will continue to interact on MOODLE and subject teachers will continue to keep students engaged via this main platform. Other virtual sites will also be employed by teachers but these will definitely be communicated to students. Of course, all students should be VERY current with how to access their school’s email account which is activated through the www.gmail.com platform using: firstname.lastname@ccss.edu.lc Your generic password is Student123 If anyone has not accessed and has issues, please send a message—text, email to your home room teacher or to the school’s official email at office@ccss.edu.lc or support@ccss.edu.lc or mdaniel@ccss.edu.lc. Additionally, our MOODLE platform is accessed with the school’s email address as your USERNAME and the default password—changeme. If any student has failed to access, please communicate your reasons to the school’s resource team at email—support@ccss.edu.lc or send an email to office@ccss.edu.lc.

As a comprehensive secondary school, we continue to ensure that all students are engaged, inspired and interacted with. Help us to let this happen by communicating all or any difficulties promptly. Reach out to your teachers during daily Homeroom sessions on the chosen platforms. It is important to note that we are ‘All In This Together’. Please check your emails daily for information—guidance, links, updates, etc. Virtual meetings will be scheduled for different people—e.g. Form 5’s parents’ meeting on Thursday evening at 6 pm via GoogleMeet. Link will be shared closer to day.
