good morning Cardinals

Greetings to all

We have ended the month of May, lots of activities have already taken place and June has greeted us with a flurry of activities

a)  Form 5 students have completed their SALCC Entrance Examinations, have had their final Assembly, Commissioning activity and formal end of face-to-face engagements have ended as of 9th June, 2021

b)  Moderation of CXC subjects are ongoing, CXC Oral exams have just started (today 15th June, 2021) and soon Physical Education & Sports students are preparing for their final practical examinations - starting 16th June, 2021

c)  Our Acting Prefects have been installed - congratulations to those selected.  Let us continue to support them!

d)  Form 2's students have completed their subject selection process - deadline was 4th June, 2021.

e)  Spelling Bee continues this week - Spelling Champion 2020, Kemma Lesmond, continues to dominate.  Participation is key!!!

Upcoming -

Common Entrance Day - ONLY ONLINE Schooling....no students should be at school - ONLY Grade 6 students and staff members!

CXC Written Paper - this will require a slight change to our rotation, so very soon, you will see a slight change in our rotation schedule during the first week of July. Look out for it!

Other Upcoming Activities:

1.  OECS Flag Day - Friday 18th June, 2021 - everyone encouraged to wear the colours of the flags of the OECS (green, red, blue, white, black, yellow, white).  You can select ANY of the OECS countries' colours to wear - easiest should be St Lucia.

2.  Form 1 students will be engaging in a number of EDC activities - e.g. 1r11 will be engaging in a Car Wash on 23rd June, 2021

3.  Multiple Choice exams for end of term during your triples or doubles from 21st June, 2021 - make sure that you are ready as this carries 40% of your final score.  The other assessments (class quizzes, projects, observations, orals, journals, etc) carry 60% of the score for your FINAL TERM MARK which will ONLY be ONE mark.  There will be NO END OF TERM EXAMINATION.

Finally students, this is a very interesting and important time in your school life.  You will soon migrate to another form level and in some cases, to new homerooms and new schools.  Make this time a memorable and positive one.  Keep focused.  Do not let anyone and anything derail you or allow you to lose sight of your success!  You are the BEST.  Believe and live it.

Best of everything...keep safe, sanitize, keep masked and socially distanced but not disconnected - keep well, positive and happy!
